The Coaching/Learning Track will be provided for individuals interested in pursuing equine facilitated programs that promote personal development, leadership training, team building or any work where equines join humans to enhance understanding of self, interpersonal dynamics, and the role of emotion, energy and intention. Upon completion of the course you will be prepared to join others who are facilitating in the field of EFL/EAL including starting your own program. Your one-on-one coaching sessions will be with Juli Lynch, Ph.D, a life-long horsewoman, executive coach and life coach with over a decade of work in the field of EFL/EAL and EFP/EAP.

The Therapy Track will be provided for those who are already licensed mental health practitioners or those who are in a graduate level program pursuing a professional counseling degree. The curriculum for this track will focus on integrating equine facilitated psychotherapy alongside traditional counseling and psychotherapy. Upon completion of the course individuals will be prepared to bring equine facilitated counseling and psychotherapy into their practice or to offer it in the context of working with social service agencies. Your one-one-one sessions will be with Juli as well as a licensed mental health professional who is part of the Epala team.

Both the Coaching and Therapy Tracks will be built on Epala's foundation of the Seven Aspects of Human and Horse Transformation. A detail description is available in the program description.

On site training will take place at Epala Ranch in Northern Wisconsin four times over the course of either 4,6,8 or 12 months. You decide if you prefer to fast-track intensively or spread the certification out over a longer period of time. Each training will be four days in length. In addition 8 teleclasses will be offered as well as a full year of monthly one-on-one phone coaching sessions with Juli Lynch, Ph.D no matter what time period you choose to complete the training.

With registration you will receive all the required books for the course, The Epala Facilitator's Manual and Epala Activity Manual.

There are four focus areas of each on-site training: Personal Development and Facilitator Development, Horse Knowledge and Practice in an EFL setting, Coaching or Therapy Theory and Practice, and Building Your Business Support.

The curriculum will follow the guidelines set out by the Certification Board of Equine Interaction Professionals (www.cbeip.org). Our intention is that you will be prepared after completing this course to take the CBEIP's certifiction test. This test is on the way to being considered the gold standard for recognition of competency in the field of both equine facilitated coaching and counseling.

This course has been designed with your life in mind, understanding that you are probably working, have a family and cannot quit your day job to pursue this work until you have the training to do this work. We will support you so that you have success without feeling overwhelmed. We will support you so that you too can pursue with passion the opportunity to bring your vision alive.
