Description:
FOCUS: This workshop is based on the work of Linda Kohanov's (author of the Tao of Equus) book: THE POWER OF THE HERD: A Nonpredatory Approach to Social Intelligence, Leadership and Innovation and her NEW BOOK: The 5 Roles of the Master Herder.

Juli is an Advanced Approved EponaQuest Instructor a Power of the Herd approved instructor and a 5 Roles of the Master Herder approved instructor. This workshop will introduce participants to the 12 Guiding Principals through group discussion, interaction with the Epala herd and equine facilitated exercises. In addition, participants will complete the 5 Roles of the Master Herder assessment - developed by Juli Lynch, Ph.D for Linda's book. Horses are masters of non-predatory leadership and will be the primary facilitators of the workshop.

TIME SPENT: Time will be spent learning the concepts of the 12 Guiding Principals of the Power of the Herd and then experiencing these principals while interacting with the Epala herd. In addition the 5 Roles of the Master Herder assessment will be completed and integrated into the horse activities. Time for self-reflection and application to each participants own experience of leadership will ensure that tools from the Guiding Principals and 5 Roles can be used after the workshop.

OUTCOME: Each participant, while working with the horses, will develop a road map for their own journey to tap into the Power of the Herd and increase awareness how the 5 Roles impact their relationships both personally and professionally. Each participant will recognize where they exist on the continuum of each of the 12 Guiding Principals and will therefore have keen insights into ongoing opportunities for leadership development.
